Every month, I review the performance of my Amazon brands.
It takes me less than 30 minutes thanks to the tools and systems I built over the years.
High-level view on the business. No getting stuck in the daily grind. Thatβs the goal.
π Monthly Review My Amazon Brand in 30 Minutes
This is Episode 1 in a series that will follow the evolution of my brand Eggboards throughout 2025.
Iβll share everything: π Sales data, π Ranking insights, π Competitor moves, π Search volume trends.
No filters. Just the raw journey. So you can see how I run an eCommerce brand in a few hours per month β with Notion templates and a few killer spreadsheets.
Letβs dive in π
The System That Keeps Eggboards Running (Without Me)
7 years running Eggboards. I designed the first mini longboard for myself. Portable, smooth, stable. Added skateboard lights later for night rides.
Now? 90% Amazon sales. 10% website. Steady profits. A few hours per month.
The secret: I donβt do everything myself.
I have a Notion template that holds every task for the brand:
- π Daily tasks
- π Weekly tasks
- π Monthly tasks
- π Quarterly tasks

My VA, Mary, handles those like a pro. Reports get updated. Data is collected. Everything runs on autopilot β»οΈ
My Amazon Monthly Review Toolkit π§°
Once a month, I step in.
I review the reports, take notes, and create a game plan for the next cycle.
Here are the 3 tools I use every single time:
Sales & TACoS Report π

- Overview of total sales and ad spend on Amazon PPC (TACoS = Total Advertising Cost of Sales).
- Product-level performance: whoβs winning, whoβs burning cash?
Organic Search Report π

- Organic sales & keyword ranking insights.
- Am I gaining visibility or slipping?
Product-Level P&L π°

- From Amazon β QuickBooks β my spreadsheet.
- See the real profit (or loss) for each product (download it here)
January 2025 Review: The Good, The Bad, The Yikes π
January is always slow after the holidays. But hereβs the twist:
Sales: 3x higher than January 2024 π
But the two product lines? Very different stories.
Mini Longboards:
- 6% TACoS π (ads under control, room to grow)
- Good sales volume but lower conversion than competitors.
- Likely due to our premium price. Testing images could help.
- Gross Profit: 48% π¦ Healthy, with room to scale.
Skateboard Lights:
- 26% TACoS π₯ (ads eating up the margins)
- Strong click-through & conversion rates π‘ but almost no organic traffic.
- Gross Profit: 5% π± (negative net profit after ads)
Uh-oh moment: On the surface, both products were selling.
Underneath? One was making money. The other was draining it.
So, whatβs next?
I know what I need to do. And Iβm doing it.
Big moves incoming for one of these products β youβll see the action plan in the video.
Curious what you would do in this situation? π€
Let me know in the comments.
More updates next month. Same time. Same place. π
