How to Capture Amazon Customer Emails using Influencers
Spoiler: Amazon doesn't want you to. Here's how I'm doing it anyway.
Hey there π
If you sell on Amazon, you know the deal.
Amazon gets you customers. But you can't really talk to them.
No emails. No follow-ups. No relationship.
Just... sales.
Why can't I contact my Amazon customers directly?
I spend so much time trying to connect with my customers:
- Getting reviews
- Getting real feedback on my product
- Understanding what they actually need
But here's the thing that keeps me up at night:
I'd give an arm to connect with people who are interested in my product but haven't ordered yet.
You know who I'm talking about. The ones with my product sitting in their Amazon cart right now.
If I could send them one email... I know it would convert.
But I can't. Amazon owns that relationship.
Should I still be collecting customer emails in 2025?
This is especially brutal when someone finds my product through social media.
They see a post. They're interested. They click. They land on Amazon. Maybe they buy. Maybe they don't.
Either way, I have zero way to follow up.
And when I work with influencers? Same problem, but worse.
Influencer posts β Amazon link β Sale (maybe) β End of story
Yes, I get sales. But I didn't acquire a customer. It's just a transaction.
No email list to:
- Send targeted Meta ads campaigns (this works wonders, by the way)
- Follow up for reviews
- Build an actual relationship
- Launch new products to warm audiences
Can You Capture Emails from Influencer Traffic AND Still Sell On Amazon?
Short answer: Yes. And it's actually not that hard.
Even better, you can get emails from traffic generated from influencers! π€―
My friend (7-figure Amazon seller) had this idea, and it made so much sense I had to build it.
Here's the flow:
- Influencer promotes your product π£
- They share a link (like usual)
- But that link goes to a landing page first
- Customer leaves their email for something (ie. discount)
- They click through to Amazon
- The sale is still attributed to the influencer β
Everyone wins:
- Influencer gets their commission
- I get the sale
- I also get the customer's email
What happens if a customer doesn't order on Amazon right away?
No problem! I still have their email.
I can send a follow-up sequence to convert them later.
It's basically all the magic people get from Shopify funnels... except powered by Amazon's 10x higher conversion rate.
Think about it:
- All the funnel optimization tricks from e-commerce
- Plus Amazon's trust and Prime delivery
- Plus you own the customer relationship now
How I Built This Into Coral πͺΈ
I just launched this feature on Coral.
Takes literally 5 minutes to set up:
β
Select a product from your affiliate catalog
β
Create a landing page (mobile-friendly template included)
β
Add a discount code for email capture
β
Publish
Done.
Now all your affiliate traffic for that product goes through your landing page instead of straight to Amazon.

What metrics should I track for Amazon email capture?
Here's what I'm tracking with this setup:
1. Will Amazon conversion rates actually go UP?
I'm showing the product price right on the landing page.
My theory: people who are just browsing and checking prices won't waste a click to Amazon. Only people who are actually interested will click through.
Higher intent = higher conversion rate.
2. How many people grab the discount vs. go straight to Amazon?
I want to see the split:
- People who leave their email for the discount code
- People who skip it and go directly to Amazon
This tells me how valuable the incentive is.
3. Can I convert the "didn't buy yet" people with follow-ups?
This is the big one.
Someone leaves their email but doesn't order. I send a sequence.
Do they come back and buy? At what rate?
4. Will I finally get more reviews?
I have their email now. I can follow up after delivery and actually ask for a review.
How many more reviews do I get compared to just hoping Amazon sends them a review request?
I'm literally running this experiment right now with my own products.

Does email capture before Amazon actually work?
I just built this. Just started using it.
So I don't have massive data yet.
But here's what I'm tracking:
- Landing page conversion rate (email capture)
- Click-through rate to Amazon
- Overall sales vs. direct-to-Amazon links
- Email follow-up conversion rates
I'll share the data as I go.
How can I set up email capture for my Amazon products?
If you're running an Amazon brand and working with affiliates/influencers, this might be worth testing.
You can set up a landing page in Coral in about 5 minutes.
I'd genuinely love to hear how it works for your business. Reply to this email and let me know if you try it.
The Bottom Line
We spend so much energy getting customers on Amazon.
But if we can't follow up with them, we're leaving money on the table.
Landing pages + email capture + Amazon conversions = best of both worlds.
At least that's the bet I'm making.
Let's see how it plays out.
Cheers,
Dobro
P.S. If you test this and get interesting results (good or bad), I want to hear about it. Just reply to this email π
