I built a short link generator for Amazon. Hereās why itās a game changer š
I built a generator of short links that open directly in the Amazon app.
Why? Because it makes a HUGE difference in conversion rates from social media.
OctoLink fixes this. And you can try it for free (link below). š

Automating my Amazon brands with AI & code š”
I share the tools I build for my two Amazon brands so they grow on autopilot.
Iām a software engineer and mainly build iPhone apps, but lately, Iāve been experimenting with AI Agents. The result? Now I can build full web apps that help scale my Amazon business.
š OctoLink is one of them. And if you sell on Amazon, it might just be your new best friend.
The problem with Amazonās default links š¤¦āāļø
Hereās why short links that open in the Amazon app are key:
š If I create an Amazon Attribution Link and share it on Instagram, it doesnāt open the Amazon app š
Instead, it opens the Amazon page in a browser. And letās be realāno one buys from the browser on their phone. They have to log in, type their password (if they even remember it), and at that point⦠they just give up. My conversion rate tanks.
Meet My New Favorite Octopus š
So I built a fix: OctoLink.
The domain was available for $12, and in just a few days, I had a working version.
Hereās how it works:
- You paste any Amazon link (Attribution, Affiliate, or regular product link).
- It generates a short link that forces the Amazon app to open.
- More clicks turn into purchases. Simple.
What I used before: URLGenius & Pixelfy š¤·āāļø
Iāve tried tools like URLGenius and Pixelfy. They work⦠but theyāre not designed specifically for Amazon sellers.
Here's an example from URLGenius.
That means:
- The flow isnāt optimized for a seamless Amazon buying experience.
- There are extra alerts and landing pages that confuse potential buyers.
- Some users drop off before reaching the product.
With OctoLink, I want to make it VERY SPECIFIC FOR AMAZON SELLERS. From the moment a link is clicked, customers should feel like theyāre on Amazonābecause they are. No distractions. No drop-offs. Just conversions.
Whatās next? š
Hereās what Iām working on:
ā Adding accounts so you can manage multiple links.
ā Integrating with Amazon Attribution, so social media creators can promote my products without me having to create special URLs for them.
ā Possibly moreāTry OctoLink and tell me what features youād want, Iāll build them in!
Give it a shot it's free to try. Let me know what you think!
